Breathe Safe Testing
Breathe Safe® Laboratory Air Purification Test Results
Don’t just take our word for it — see what the laboratory measured. Every performance number we publish for the Breathe Safe® portable plasma air purifier comes from an independent laboratory report, and every full report is published on this site for you to read.
Most air-purifier marketing stops at words like “removes odors” and “freshens air.” We publish the laboratory documents instead: what was tested, under what conditions, what changed, and over how long. Each card below summarizes one report and links to the complete document — report number, lab seal, signatures and all.
VOC Test
86.4%
reduction in total volatile organic compounds (TVOC)
Particulate Test
99.68%
effective removal of PM2.5 particulates
Bacteria Test
46.1%
reduction in naturally occurring airborne bacteria (best of three samples)
Oxygen Measurement
≈17%
oxygen enhancement measured 3 cm above the running unit
Every figure above describes the tested unit under the reported laboratory conditions — a sealed test chamber is not a living room, and we present these results as measured, not extrapolated.
Ionization-based air cleaners are often questioned on two points — how many ions they actually produce, and whether they emit meaningful ozone. Both were measured on the Breathe Safe by the Guangzhou Testing Center of Industrial Microbiology:
Electromagnetic-compatibility testing of the Breathe Safe electronics for CE conformity.
Restriction-of-hazardous-substances screening of the materials and components themselves.
Ion output stays at full strength — and the 1-year warranty stays valid — with one 15-second weekly brushing of the discharge plate.
Before I was an inventor, I audited nuclear power plants as a quality assurance engineer — an industry where a number without a signed document does not exist. I carried that habit into my own products. When I developed the Breathe Safe, I paid independent laboratories to measure what it actually does to VOCs, particulates, bacteria, oxygen and ozone, and I publish every page of what came back — the strong numbers and the modest ones alike. The unit travels with me to hotel rooms and runs beside my desk, so I hold it to the same standard I would demand from anyone else: show me the test.
These reports verify how the tested unit performed on specific pollutants under controlled chamber conditions — the strongest evidence any air purifier can honestly offer. They are equipment measurements, not medical evidence: the Breathe Safe is not a medical device, and air purification has not been proven to prevent illness or disease. For how the technology itself works, start with the Breathe Safe air purifier lineup.
