Patented Ozone Diffuser and Off-Gas Degassing System

Transform a compatible ozone generator into a more complete ozonated-water preparation system. Tri-OXY REFRESH combines fine-bubble ozone diffusion with a catalytic degassing chamber that manages excess ozone leaving the water.

This patented system is made from Class A ozone-resistant and food-grade materials. It works with compatible ozone generators from multiple brands and does not include an ozone generator.

Important product distinction

  • This kit is an ozone diffuser and degasser
  • It does not generate ozone by itself
  • An ozone generator is required
  • It works with compatible ozone-generator brands
  • It includes a 50–60 micron SS-316 diffuser
  • It does not include a 0.5 micron diffuser
Why Tri-OXY REFRESH?

An ozone generator creates gas—REFRESH helps put it into water and manage what comes back out

Preparing ozonated water involves two separate physical processes. First, ozone gas must be dispersed through the water. Second, ozone that does not dissolve rises out of the water as off-gas. (see how ozone destructors and off-gas control work)

A basic diffuser handles only the first process. Tri-OXY REFRESH combines the diffuser with a vented degassing container and catalyst so excess ozone leaving the water is routed through the degassing media.

Fine-Bubble Diffusion

Breaks ozone gas into many small bubbles for more even distribution through water.

Off-Gas Routing

Directs ozone that leaves the water into the degassing container.

Catalytic Degassing

Passes excess ozone through catalyst material designed to convert ozone toward oxygen.

Reusable Water System

Supports repeat ozonated-water preparation with proper care and maintenance.

Two Functions in One Kit

Diffuse ozone into water and manage excess ozone off-gas

Ozone Diffusion

The 50–60 micron SS-316 diffuser divides the generator’s ozone output into many fine bubbles.

  • Increases combined bubble surface area
  • Spreads ozone through more of the water
  • Provides longer bubble travel through the jar
  • Improves use of the generator’s gas output

Ozone Degassing

The vented upper container routes ozone leaving the water through a catalyst bed.

  • Manages ozone that does not remain dissolved
  • Reduces direct release near the breathing zone
  • Creates a more controlled water-preparation system
  • Uses replaceable and reusable internal components
How the System Works

Why Degassing Matters

Not all ozone produced by a generator dissolves into water

When ozone bubbles move through water, some ozone transfers into the water while some reaches the surface and leaves the container. Generator output, bubble size, water depth, temperature, dissolved minerals, organic load, and operating time all influence how much ozone remains dissolved.

Without degassing equipment, excess ozone can be released directly into the surrounding area. Tri-OXY REFRESH is designed to route that off-gas into a catalyst chamber before it exits the system.

Do not intentionally inhale ozone gas

Ozone gas can irritate the respiratory system. Always follow the ozone-generator instructions, keep ozone away from the breathing zone, provide ventilation, and assemble the REFRESH degassing components correctly.

50–60 Micron Diffuser

Fine bubbles create more gas-to-water contact than large bubbles

The included SS-316 stainless steel diffuser uses a 50–60 micron pore range. The porous diffuser divides ozone gas into many smaller bubbles instead of releasing one large gas stream.

More Surface Area

Many small bubbles create more combined surface area than a few large bubbles.

More Even Distribution

Fine bubbles spread ozone throughout more of the water volume.

Longer Bubble Travel

Smaller bubbles generally rise more slowly through the water.

More Efficient Preparation

Improved gas contact can reduce ozone that immediately escapes as oversized bubbles.

Printing correction

Some product boxes or instructions may incorrectly refer to a 0.5 micron diffuser. The included diffuser is a 50–60 micron SS-316 FDA-approved diffuser.

Broad Ozone-Generator Compatibility

Use REFRESH with compatible ozone generators from multiple brands

Tri-OXY REFRESH does not require a Tri-Oxy generator. It can work with compatible ozone generators that provide a suitable gas outlet, appropriate tubing connection, and output intended for water ozonation.

Check the Outlet Size

Confirm that the generator outlet and silicone tubing create a secure connection.

Check the Gas Output

Use an ozone generator with output appropriate for the jar size and intended application.

Follow Both Manuals

Use the operating instructions for the generator and the Tri-OXY REFRESH assembly.

Common Applications

Use in suitable small-batch water systems where off-gas control is important.

How to Assemble and Use

Keep the catalyst dry and verify every seal before operating

1

Fill the Glass Jar

Add water while leaving approximately two inches between the water level and the blue filter container.

2

Connect the Tubing

Attach the silicone tubing securely between the ozone generator and the included diffuser.

3

Install the Degasser

Confirm that the screen, filter, catalyst, seals, and vented cap are assembled correctly.

4

Operate as Directed

Run the ozone generator for the time appropriate to the application and use the water promptly.

Leave two inches of space above the water

Do not allow the water level to touch the blue degassing container. The catalyst pellets, fabric filter, and screen must remain dry for proper airflow and degassing performance.

If the Catalyst Gets Wet

Disassemble and dry every internal component completely

Accidental overfilling, tipping, foaming, or splashing can allow moisture to enter the degassing container. Wet catalyst can restrict airflow and reduce degassing performance.

1

Stop the Generator

Turn off the ozone generator before disassembling the REFRESH system.

2

Empty the Container

Remove the catalyst pellets, screen, and fabric filter.

3

Dry Thoroughly

Lay the components out separately until every part is completely dry.

4

Reassemble Correctly

Return the components in the correct order before using the system again.

Diffuser Care

Blow water out of the 50–60 micron diffuser after every use

Water contains dissolved minerals. If water remains inside the fine diffuser pores and evaporates, mineral deposits can form and block gas flow.

1

Remove It From Water

Lift the diffuser out of the jar immediately after the ozone cycle.

2

Keep Gas Flowing

Continue running ozone gas or clean air through the diffuser while it is out of the water.

3

Blow Out Moisture

Continue the flow until retained water has been expelled from the pores.

4

Store Completely Dry

Allow the diffuser to dry before storing it in a clean, protected location.

What is Tri-OXY REFRESH?
Tri-OXY REFRESH is a patented ozone-water preparation system that combines fine-bubble ozone diffusion with a catalytic off-gas degassing chamber.
Does this kit include an ozone generator?
No. Tri-OXY REFRESH is a diffuser and degasser. A compatible ozone generator is required.
Will it work with other ozone-generator brands?
Yes, when the generator outlet, tubing connection, gas output, and intended water application are compatible.
What does the diffuser do?
The diffuser divides ozone gas into many small bubbles so ozone can spread more evenly through the water.
What does the degassing chamber do?
It routes ozone leaving the water through catalyst material designed to convert excess ozone toward oxygen.
Does all ozone dissolve into the water?
No. Some ozone dissolves and some reaches the surface as off-gas. The amount depends on generator output, bubble size, water depth, temperature, water composition, and operating time.
What size diffuser is included?
The kit includes a 50–60 micron SS-316 FDA-approved diffuser.
Does the kit include a 0.5 micron diffuser?
No. Any reference to a 0.5 micron diffuser is a printing error.
Why must I leave two inches above the water?
The space helps prevent water from entering and wetting the catalyst, screen, and fabric filter inside the degassing container.
What should I do if the catalyst gets wet?
Stop the generator, remove the catalyst, screen, and filter, and allow every component to dry completely before reassembly.
How long does the catalyst last?
The included 70 grams of catalyst is intended to last up to 10 years under appropriate dry operating and storage conditions.
Why must the diffuser be dried after every use?
Water left inside the fine pores can evaporate and leave mineral deposits that restrict or block gas flow.
