Fine-Bubble Diffusion

Transform a compatible ozone generator into a more complete ozonated-water preparation system. Tri-OXY REFRESH combines fine-bubble ozone diffusion with a catalytic degassing chamber that manages excess ozone leaving the water.
This patented system is made from Class A ozone-resistant and food-grade materials. It works with compatible ozone generators from multiple brands and does not include an ozone generator.
Preparing ozonated water involves two separate physical processes. First, ozone gas must be dispersed through the water. Second, ozone that does not dissolve rises out of the water as off-gas. (see how ozone destructors and off-gas control work)
A basic diffuser handles only the first process. Tri-OXY REFRESH combines the diffuser with a vented degassing container and catalyst so excess ozone leaving the water is routed through the degassing media.

When ozone bubbles move through water, some ozone transfers into the water while some reaches the surface and leaves the container. Generator output, bubble size, water depth, temperature, dissolved minerals, organic load, and operating time all influence how much ozone remains dissolved.
Without degassing equipment, excess ozone can be released directly into the surrounding area. Tri-OXY REFRESH is designed to route that off-gas into a catalyst chamber before it exits the system.
Ozone gas can irritate the respiratory system. Always follow the ozone-generator instructions, keep ozone away from the breathing zone, provide ventilation, and assemble the REFRESH degassing components correctly.
The included SS-316 stainless steel diffuser uses a 50–60 micron pore range. The porous diffuser divides ozone gas into many smaller bubbles instead of releasing one large gas stream.
Many small bubbles create more combined surface area than a few large bubbles.
Fine bubbles spread ozone throughout more of the water volume.
Smaller bubbles generally rise more slowly through the water.
Improved gas contact can reduce ozone that immediately escapes as oversized bubbles.
Some product boxes or instructions may incorrectly refer to a 0.5 micron diffuser. The included diffuser is a 50–60 micron SS-316 FDA-approved diffuser.
Tri-OXY REFRESH does not require a Tri-Oxy generator. It can work with compatible ozone generators that provide a suitable gas outlet, appropriate tubing connection, and output intended for water ozonation.
Confirm that the generator outlet and silicone tubing create a secure connection.
Use an ozone generator with output appropriate for the jar size and intended application.
Use the operating instructions for the generator and the Tri-OXY REFRESH assembly.
Prepare fresh ozonated water for fruit and vegetable washing.
Prepare water for use on compatible food-contact tools and surfaces.
Use freshly prepared ozonated water on compatible household materials.
Prepare ozone water for compatible plant and garden uses.
Prepare small batches of ozonated water using a compatible ozone generator.
Use for compatible water-treatment and equipment-cleaning routines.
Prepare ozone water for compatible non-medical equipment cleaning.
Use in suitable small-batch water systems where off-gas control is important.
Add water while leaving approximately two inches between the water level and the blue filter container.
Attach the silicone tubing securely between the ozone generator and the included diffuser.
Confirm that the screen, filter, catalyst, seals, and vented cap are assembled correctly.
Run the ozone generator for the time appropriate to the application and use the water promptly.
Do not allow the water level to touch the blue degassing container. The catalyst pellets, fabric filter, and screen must remain dry for proper airflow and degassing performance.
Accidental overfilling, tipping, foaming, or splashing can allow moisture to enter the degassing container. Wet catalyst can restrict airflow and reduce degassing performance.
Turn off the ozone generator before disassembling the REFRESH system.
Remove the catalyst pellets, screen, and fabric filter.
Lay the components out separately until every part is completely dry.
Return the components in the correct order before using the system again.
Water contains dissolved minerals. If water remains inside the fine diffuser pores and evaporates, mineral deposits can form and block gas flow.
Lift the diffuser out of the jar immediately after the ozone cycle.
Continue running ozone gas or clean air through the diffuser while it is out of the water.
Continue the flow until retained water has been expelled from the pores.
Allow the diffuser to dry before storing it in a clean, protected location.

Moisture can restrict airflow and interfere with catalyst performance.
Keep oils, cleaning chemicals, dust, and foreign materials out of the catalyst bed.
Keep the vent, screen, and filter correctly installed and free from obstruction.
Check the catalyst, filter, screen, seals, and vented cap for moisture or damage.
The kit does not include a 0.5 micron diffuser. The included diffuser is the 50–60 micron SS-316 FDA-approved diffuser.

Check the generator output, tubing connection, kinks, leaks, and diffuser blockage.
Inspect the diffuser for mineral buildup and the tubing for loose connections.
Disassemble the degassing container and dry every component completely.
Stop operation and check the seals, cap, screen, filter, catalyst placement, tubing, and ventilation.
