Sauna Fix vs SaunaSpace, Sunlighten, Clearlight and Sun Home
There is no single “best infrared sauna” for every buyer. The strongest choice depends on whether you value a portable incandescent lamp, room to stand and exercise, a natural-material seated tent, a permanent wood cabin, smart controls, outdoor durability, or the lowest entry price.
This guide compares five leading sauna approaches using manufacturer-published information: Sauna Fix®, SaunaSpace®, Sunlighten®, Clearlight® and Sun Home®. It focuses on meaningful buying differences rather than unsupported claims that one wavelength or brand cures disease.
Best fit for buyers who want standing, sitting, lying down, stretching, mobility, hot exercise, a portable four-bulb lamp, or an expandable lamp-first purchase path.
Best fit for buyers who prefer a compact seated incandescent tent, natural materials, U.S. manufacturing, a coordinated ritual and an optional shielding cover.
Best fit for buyers seeking a refined wood cabin, app or tablet controls, multiple capacities and independently controlled red, near-, mid- and far-infrared programs.
Best fit for buyers wanting a permanent wood cabin, full-spectrum or far-infrared choices, smartphone control, published pricing and a limited lifetime warranty.
Best fit for buyers prioritizing premium wood cabins, high-temperature models, indoor and outdoor options, integrated red-light choices and app-enabled systems.
Sauna Fix and SaunaSpace are portable incandescent-lamp systems. Sunlighten, Clearlight and Sun Home primarily sell permanent or semi-permanent wood cabins with panel heaters. Comparing them only by “near infrared versus far infrared” overlooks the larger differences in body position, movement space, installation, electrical service, portability and price.

Prices and promotions were reviewed in July 2026 and may change. Sunlighten uses quote-based pricing for major cabin lines. Always confirm the exact model, included accessories, delivery, assembly, circuit requirements, warranty, returns and current promotion.
“Full spectrum” is used differently across the sauna industry. In a Sauna Fix or SaunaSpace incandescent system, the bulb produces a broad continuous output together with strong radiant heat. In many cabin saunas, separate heater technologies or integrated LED modules deliver near, mid and far infrared in different proportions.
Sauna Fix and SaunaSpace place bright radiant lamps in front of the user. Exposure is directional, so users rotate or reposition. The design provides visible red light and infrared heat without a wall of electronic heater panels.
Sunlighten mPulse, Clearlight Sanctuary and selected Sun Home models use combinations of near-, mid- and far-infrared heaters. Heat is distributed around a seated user inside a wood cabin.
Some premium cabins add narrow-band red and near-infrared LEDs. These are not identical to an incandescent lamp and should be assessed by wavelength, irradiance, placement and treatment distance.
Traditional-sauna research, infrared-cabin studies, incandescent-lamp use and clinical photobiomodulation involve different exposures. The best buying decision should include comfort, adherence, space, safety, movement needs, electrical installation and budget—not only a “near versus far” label.
Sauna Fix is built around a portable four-bulb incandescent fixture and insulated radiant tents. Its principal competitive advantage is functional space: the Convertible Tent supports standing, seated and lying-down configurations, while the Home Hot Exercise Studio provides room for yoga, cycling, mobility, stretching, foam rolling and other controlled movement.
SaunaSpace is the closest direct competitor to Sauna Fix because both use incandescent bulbs in portable enclosures. SaunaSpace emphasizes organic cotton, basswood, bamboo, U.S. manufacturing, a meditative seated design and an optional SilverLining shielding cover.
Sunlighten offers a broad product family. Its mPulse line uses the PulseIQ platform to deliver red light, near-, mid- and far-infrared independently, with tablet controls, programs and app features. The company also sells far-infrared Signature cabins, high-heat Amplify cabins and the portable Solo dome.
Clearlight’s Sanctuary line combines near-, mid- and far-infrared heaters in permanent wood cabins. Its Premier line focuses on far infrared. Sanctuary models include smartphone control, audio and a limited lifetime warranty, with published prices that make comparison easier than quote-only brands.
Sun Home has expanded into a broad premium lineup. The Solstice series is far infrared, Equinox is full spectrum, Eclipse integrates red-light towers with infrared heating, and Luminar provides outdoor infrared models. Some products use app controls and require dedicated circuits.
This is one of the clearest competitive distinctions. Most wood infrared cabins are optimized around a bench. SaunaSpace is optimized around a stool. Portable domes and blankets require lying down. Sauna Fix is the only system in this comparison with dedicated configurations for all three basic positions plus a separate exercise-studio format.

Every powered sauna produces some combination of electric fields, magnetic fields, radiofrequency energy or electrical noise. “Low EMF” and “zero EMF” are not meaningful without test distance, operating conditions, measurement range, units and laboratory or instrument information.
Look for measurement distance, heater state, frequency range, meter or laboratory and values in the correct units.
A low-reading heater does not automatically establish the fields generated by controls, wiring, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, lighting and accessories.
RoHS, VOC, fire-rating and electrical-safety testing address different questions and should not be combined into one vague “non-toxic” claim.
Sauna Fix provides separate product-testing information and a bulb test report. Competitor testing should be reviewed directly from each manufacturer rather than relying on generalized marketing labels.
Sauna Fix is the strongest option in this group for movement, position changes, portability and a lower-priced four-bulb entry point. It is not the best choice for a buyer who specifically wants a permanent luxury wood cabin, app-controlled programs or an outdoor installation.

They serve different buyers. Sauna Fix is more portable and movement-oriented. Sunlighten offers permanent smart wood cabins with advanced programming, multiple capacities and independently controlled wavelength delivery.
Sauna Fix is better suited to portability, standing, lying down and heated exercise. Clearlight is better suited to buyers wanting a polished permanent wood cabin, app controls and a limited lifetime warranty.
The Sauna Fix Home Hot Exercise Studio is the only product in this comparison specifically designed around standing and floor movement rather than a bench, stool, dome or blanket.
The Sauna Fix Convertible Tent can be reconfigured horizontally. Sunlighten and Clearlight also sell dome-style products, and portable sauna blankets provide another lying-down format.
Sunlighten mPulse offers the most developed integrated program and tablet ecosystem in this comparison. Clearlight and selected Sun Home models also provide app-enabled controls.
Based on prices reviewed in July 2026, the Sauna Fix four-bulb lamp at $1,299 was lower than the SaunaSpace four-bulb Hearth Quartet at $1,995.
Sun Home and Clearlight both offer dedicated outdoor sauna lines. Portable Sauna Fix tents are intended as movable indoor systems rather than permanent outdoor buildings.
No universal clinical evidence establishes that a “full-spectrum” label is best for every goal. Wavelength delivery, dose, heat, body position, comfort, electrical needs and consistent use all matter.
A reliable answer requires comparable tests performed under the same operating conditions, distance, frequency range and units. Marketing labels from separate companies are not automatically comparable.
A lamp-only Sauna Fix setup, SaunaSpace system, Sunlighten Solo dome or sauna blanket requires less permanent space than a wood cabin. Sauna Fix and SaunaSpace can be disassembled and stored.
It depends on the model. One portable lamp may use a standard household outlet, while larger wood cabins or multi-heater systems may require dedicated 20A, 30A or 240V service. Confirm before purchase.
Compare a four-bulb Sauna Fix lamp, a Convertible Sauna for standing, sitting or lying down, and the Home Hot Exercise Studio for yoga, cycling, mobility, stretching and recovery.
