One USB port is the whole power system, so the question is only which cable and which plug
The Breathe Safe is powered by USB. That is the reason it goes anywhere, and it is also the reason people ask how to run it at a desk, beside a bed, in a car, or in a hotel abroad. Here is the short answer for each, using the cables and adapters made for it.
The Breathe Safe Plasma Air Purifier is a compact, filter-free plasma ion device you can move from room to room, take to the office, run in the car or use in a sauna, and the product page's answer to "how is it powered" is one word: by USB. The same page names the places it is used, a bedroom, a desk, a vehicle, a hotel, a treatment room or a Sauna Fix tent, and the sources it draws from: a USB outlet, a wall adapter, or a compact power source. Everything Creatrix sells for powering it is either a USB cable of a particular length or a plug adapter that turns a wall outlet into a USB port, so once you know where the unit will sit and what outlet is on the wall, the choice makes itself.
The unit belongs within about a meter of the person it is cleaning air for; the laboratory ion readings that set that distance are in the article on the two ion measurements. So the cable question is really: how far is that spot from the nearest USB power?
The short USB power cable is for close-range setups, the product page's words: when the purifier is placed near a USB outlet, wall adapter or compact power source. On a desk beside a laptop, or on a nightstand with an outlet behind it, the short cable keeps the run tidy and leaves nothing to trip over. The long USB power cable is for flexible placement in larger spaces, making it easier to position the purifier where cleaner air is needed: a bedside when the only outlet is across the room, a treatment room, or a hotel desk where the outlet is under the far end.

A wall outlet is not a USB port, so at home the unit needs a plug adapter with a USB socket. Creatrix carries three, each a narrow job. The 110 volt USB plug adapter powers the Breathe Safe from a standard wall outlet. The 220 to 240 volt adapter supports use with compatible higher-voltage wall outlets. The UK USB plug adapter is for compatible UK wall outlets.
For travel the practical rule is to pack the adapter that matches the destination's outlets and the short cable, and to remember that any USB outlet you meet on the way removes the need for an adapter at all. The product page lists three operation modes to choose from, continuous, cycling and intermittent plasma output; the mode does not change how it is powered. What does change with time is the discharge plate. Ion output stays at full strength, and the 1-year warranty stays valid, with one 15-second weekly brushing of the plate using the stiff brush that ships with every unit. A unit that is always plugged in is easy to forget; a weekly brush when you unplug it to move rooms is the simplest habit. The Breathe Safe is a USB device; power it from a USB source or one of the plug adapters above.
