Tri-Oxy® REFRESH Degasser Manual
The Tri-Oxy® REFRESH degasser lets you ozonate water safely by destructing excess ozone gas instead of releasing it into the room. This manual covers assembling the degasser, connecting it to your ozone generator, ozonating water, and caring for the diffuser.
When you ozonate water, excess ozone gas bubbles out of the liquid. Because ozone gas should not be inhaled, the Tri-Oxy® REFRESH passes that off-gas through degassing granules that break ozone back down into ordinary oxygen before it reaches the room. The result is a safer way to make ozonated water at home with any compatible ozone generator, such as the Tri-Oxy® FRESH.
Pour degassing granules into the container on top of the pre-installed FDA-approved stainless steel mesh filter, then screw on the cap and leave it in place until it is time to replace the material.
Connect the silicone tubing to the FDA-approved degasser diffuser of your choice (0.5 micron or 50–60 micron), then connect the other end of the tube to the male barb fitting on the bottom of the container.
Screw the Tri-Oxy® REFRESH assembly onto the glass jar filled with water.
Connect a silicone tube from your ozone generator to the male barb fitting on the top cap.
In use:
Turn on the ozone generator to ozonate water or another preferred liquid. Ozonate for approximately 1 minute per ounce of water. If you are using the 0.5 micron diffuser, you can reduce that time by 50%.
Run water applications through the degasser so ozone off-gas is destructed rather than released. Ozone gas should not be inhaled.
When you are done ozonating, empty the liquid, screw the Tri-Oxy® REFRESH assembly back onto the glass jar, and run the ozone generator to blow the water out of the diffuser. Blow out the diffuser with ozone gas (or with your mouth) and let it dry so the pores do not clog.
Replace the degassing material when it no longer destructs ozone gas. Depending on how often you ozonate water, this can take 5 to 10 years.
