Back Shaper 2.75" Soft Foam Roller
The patented Back Shaper roll is a twelve-inch long posture corrector and foam roller. It is designed with a groove for the spinous to float and supporting edges for the transverse process portion of the vertebrae. While lying over this yoga wheel, your tight muscles relax and vertebrae can shift into a more desirable location for posture correction. We recommend performing the Back-Twist exercise and lying over both properly sized lumbar rolls (the Neck and Back Shaper) to passively encourage ideal curvature.
The Back Shaper 2.75" diameter yoga roller is available in three (3) densities: Soft, Medium, and Hard. We recommend everyone start out with the soft density. There are several diameters available, including:

Size first, density second. The 2.75" diameter must match YOUR curve — that is what the Sizing Kit measures. Smaller diameters generally fit smaller frames and tighter curves; larger diameters fit larger frames and deeper curves — but measure, never guess.
The 2.75" Soft in the Back Shaper system
Every Back Shaper is a properly sized lumbar roll you lie over to passively encourage the low back’s natural curve. The Soft density is the gentlest support tier — the right entry point if you are new to lying over a curve-restoration roll, prefer a softer feel, or are easing a sensitive back or neck into the practice. Used consistently — brief daily lying in the correct position — the roll gives your spine a repeated reason to hold the shape it was built for. The mechanics behind it: why lower backs hurt.
My experience
I start most new clients on a Soft lumbar roll for one reason: the first weeks of lying over a curve are about your nervous system learning to relax into the position, and gentleness wins that negotiation. Once lying over the roll feels like rest instead of exercise, the firmer densities are there to grow into.
Frequently asked questions
Is Soft too soft to do anything?
No — the size (diameter) does the curve-shaping work; density is about feel and durability under load. Soft supports the same curve with a gentler contact, which is exactly right while your body learns the position.
What if I bought the wrong size?
Sizing is the make-or-break variable, which is why the Sizing Kit exists — measure before you order. Foam rollers are non-returnable for hygiene reasons, so let the kit decide your diameter.
