Restriction of Hazardous Substances, Independently Verified
Result: Pass
The Sauna Fix® near infrared sauna fixture (model SF4B) was evaluated by Global-Standard Testing Service Co., Ltd. under the EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The laboratory concluded that the equipment under evaluation met the legislative requirements of the directive, and a CE-RoHS Certificate of Conformity was issued under report number M00.07.0097R.
What RoHS testing checks. The RoHS Directive restricts the amount of certain hazardous substances allowed in electrical and electronic equipment — lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and the brominated flame retardants PBBs and PBDEs, along with regulated phthalates. Materials were sampled from across the product and analyzed by ICP-OES, GC-MS, and UV-Vis methods.
Thirteen separate components were sampled — the enclosure, metal shade, lampholder, switch, supply cord, internal wire, screws, metal gasket, fiber bushing, connector, strain relief, plug, and plastic accessories. Every measured substance came back “Not Detected” or within the applicable limit. The report reflects the tested sample only.
