Don’t Just Read the Claim. See the Test.

Nearly every sauna brand calls itself “safe,” “low EMF,” or “non-toxic.” Very few publish the third-party reports behind those words. Sauna Fix® does — every document linked on this page comes from an independent testing body, and you are welcome to read them before you spend a dollar. That is the standard we think every sauna buyer should hold every brand to, including us.

What each test actually covers

• UL (lamp assembly): independent electrical-safety evaluation of the lamp — the wiring, sockets, guard, and construction that carry household current next to your skin.
• U.S. RoHS & EU RoHS: restriction-of-hazardous-substances screening of components — verifying regulated substances (lead, cadmium, mercury, and others) stay under strict limits in the materials themselves.
• EMC (electromagnetic compatibility): testing of the electrical behavior of the equipment — how it emits and tolerates electromagnetic interference in normal operation.
• LVD (Low Voltage Directive): the EU’s electrical-safety conformity testing for equipment in this voltage class.
• Bulb testing: measured output of the actual incandescent bulbs — the data behind every spectrum statement we make (see light, heat, and thermal dose).
• Tent & fabric testing: materials evaluation of the radiant tents — what the enclosure is made of and how it behaves, documented rather than described (materials background: radiant tents).

What testing does not do: certifications verify equipment safety and materials compliance — they are not medical endorsements, and we never present them as one. For what “low EMF” specifically should mean in a report, read our low-EMF measurement guide.

Why I Publish Every Report

I spent years as a quality assurance engineer and auditor in nuclear power plants, where a claim without a document is just a rumor. I never left that standard behind. When I built the Sauna Fix, I paid independent labs to test the lamp, the bulbs, and the tent materials — and I publish the results because that is what I would demand as a buyer. Read them. Bring the same standard to every sauna you compare.
