Chest & Hip Force Applicator Set

Home/Store/Exercise/Back Posture Correctors/Chest & Hip Force Applicator Set

Discover the Chest and Hip Force Applicator Set, designed for use with the Power Cushion to support posture training, spinal positioning, and more effective corrective exercise. This specialized tool helps create leverage in the opposite direction of muscle pull, increasing time under tension during Spinal Fitness routines and helping the body work toward better alignment, body awareness, and healthier movement patterns.

Curated by Eileen Durfee, NBS, NASM-CPT, Inventor, Author, and Nationally Certified Spinal Fitness Specialist, Creatrix Solutions has shipped 11,000+ orders and focuses on practical wellness innovation.

  • Used with the Power Cushion

Force Applicators: Train the Force Your Spine Manages, Not Just the Muscle

Conventional training loads a muscle; Spinal Fitness trains how your spine receives, absorbs, and transfers force. Force applicators place resistance exactly where the exercise needs it, so the body adapts in the correct spinal orientation instead of reinforcing a collapse.

A patented anterior resistance system designed to apply weight directly to the chest or hip region during supported Spinal Fitness exercises. The conforming applicators help position external resistance over a specific body area while keeping the attached weight stabilized and separated from direct body contact.

Why targeted force application matters

Place Resistance Where the Exercise Needs It

Traditional free weights are usually held in the hands or balanced loosely over the body. That can make it difficult to keep resistance centered over the exact region being trained.

The Chest and Hip Force Applicators are designed to apply external force more directly to strategic anterior body locations. This allows the user to focus on the intended spinal or pelvic movement while the applicator helps stabilize the attached weight.

Designed for Spinal Fitness mechanics

Anterior Force Paired With Posterior Support

In the Spinal Fitness system, the Power Cushion supports the lumbar curve from behind while the Chest or Hip Force Applicator applies controlled resistance from the front.

This opposing-force arrangement is intended to help train the trunk and pelvis without relying on an unsupported flat-floor position. The posterior support establishes the curve, while the anterior force increases the muscular demand of the movement.

The physics of the system

Force Direction, Center of Gravity & Controlled Rotation

External weight creates both downward force and rotational demand. Where that weight is positioned changes the lever arm acting on the trunk or pelvis.

The patented applicator places the attached weight over a shaped pad and structural base rather than allowing the weight to rest directly on the body. In the chest and hip embodiments, the structural base can rotate relative to the setting so the system can better accommodate body movement while keeping the weight centered.

Targeted Resistance

Applies weight to a specific anterior body region instead of requiring the user to balance a loose plate or dumbbell.

Weight Stabilization

The structural base and barbell mount are designed to support and stabilize the attached weighted item.

Movement Accommodation

A rotatable connection in the chest and hip embodiments allows the system to accommodate controlled movement around the user.

Two body-specific applicators

Chest and Hip Pads Are Shaped for Different Training Tasks

Chest Force Applicator

The chest embodiment uses a pad that conforms to the chest so resistance can be applied over the upper anterior trunk during supported sit-up and trunk-training patterns.

Hip Force Applicator

The hip embodiment uses a shaped pad with portions that contact and hug the hip region, helping stabilize the resistance during pelvic and lower-trunk exercise.

Barbell Mount

The patented mounting system is designed to attach a weighted item to the structural base while keeping that item separated from direct contact with the body.

Chest applicator use

Progressive Resistance for Supported Sit-Ups

The chest applicator is intended to place resistance over the chest while the user performs a controlled trunk movement over posterior support such as the Power Cushion.

Compared with holding a plate in the hands, a body-conforming applicator may help keep the resistance closer to the intended target area and reduce the need to grip or stabilize the weight with the arms.

Hip applicator use

Progressive Resistance for Pelvic Tilts

The hip applicator is intended to apply direct resistance over the hip region during controlled pelvic movement.

When paired with posterior lumbar support, the external force can increase the training demand on the abdominal wall, pelvis, and deep stabilizing muscles while the user practices short, controlled pelvic tilts.

How the applicators fit into Spinal Fitness

A Progression From Position to Resistance

  1. Establish the supported posture: Position the Power Cushion or appropriate posterior support beneath the lumbar curve.
  2. Learn the movement without added weight: Practice the supported sit-up or pelvic tilt using body weight only.
  3. Add the appropriate applicator: Use the chest applicator for trunk resistance or the hip applicator for pelvic resistance.
  4. Begin with light resistance: Increase load only after the movement remains controlled and pain-free.
  5. Maintain breathing and alignment: Stop the set if the spine loses support, the body shifts, or the user must hold the breath.

Supported Sit-Up Training

Applies resistance to the chest while the trunk moves around the Power Cushion fulcrum.

Pelvic Tilt Training

Applies resistance over the hip region while the pelvis moves over a supported lumbar curve.

Professional Progression

Provides a structured way for trainers and clinicians to add resistance after the movement pattern is established.

Important product-development note

Patent Features Do Not Yet Equal Final Retail Specifications

The patent describes multiple embodiments, mounting arrangements, pads, rotational structures, clamps, and weighted-item connections. The final commercial Chest & Hip Force Applicator Set may use selected features from the patent and may differ in appearance, included accessories, materials, and compatible weight systems.
